Reviews and Ratings
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean, and tidy with all the facilities I needed. The staff, especially Cathy, Laura, and Aisling, were incredibly helpful and friendly. The location was superb, with stunning views over the Lough, making it perfect for sightseeing and accessing the village of Dunfanaghy. The dining options were delicious with a great variety to choose from. Overall, a great experience with a few minor downsides.
The hotel has a great location overlooking Sheephaven Bay, making it perfect for exploring the beautiful part of Donegal. The rooms, though not as clean as expected and lacking in privacy due to outside drinkers looking into them, would benefit from some redecorating. The service was exceptional, especially Laura at reception, who was friendly and efficient. The dining experience was enjoyable, with tasty meals, but the breakfast could offer more variety. Overall, the hotel is ideal for seeing local beaches and offers friendly staff and great food.
I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the hotel. The location was amazing with a beautiful beach just minutes away, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Although the rooms were comfortable and well-furnished, being above the bar didn’t bother us at all. However, the service was not as good as our previous visit, but they still made an effort to ensure we knew where the live music was. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially with a fantastic selection for breakfast. Overall, it was a great value for money with so many lovely drives and walks nearby.
My stay at Arnold's was quite pleasant overall. The back rooms were cozy but a bit noisy due to their location above the kitchens and smoking area of the pub. At €164 per night over the bank holiday weekend, it was a decent value considering the warmer ambiance but not ideal for noise-sensitive guests.
The hotel has a convenient location for sightseeing and golf courses but lacks warmth and food tends to get cold quickly. The rooms, though recently decorated, appear outdated and of poor standard. The welcoming service stands out despite the simplicity of the venue.
The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms, with friendly staff and a great location near Dunfanaghy bay. The dining experience was satisfying, and the facilities were well-kept. However, some areas could benefit from updating to enhance the overall experience.
